Leeds West Academy

Trinity Kitchen Competition Winners

Year 10 students were tasked to create a concept for a street food stand at Trinity Kitchen, with an allocated budget of £20,000. The group created three different plates for a menu, before competing against other Leeds schools.

Trinity Kitchen is situated within the famous Leeds shopping centre and comprises a mix of unique street food stands, inspired by different cultures and trends.

After working in teams to develop a product and business case, the students pitched and

presented their contending menus before Trinity and Ahead Partnership executives. Leeds West Academy was awarded the winning prize for creating a professional and innovative menu.

Ms Beaumont said: “Our students confidently stood in front of a panel of six Trinity and Ahead Partnership executives and pitched a fantastic Food Street Van challenge. All three did amazingly well and I am very proud; They each received a £50 Trinity Gift Card.”
