GCSE RESULTS DAY AT LEEDS WEST ACADEMY!

Today we welcomed our Year 11 students to the academy to receive their GCSE results, following what has been a challenging and unprecedented exam path for our learners.

Mr Whieldon, Principal, said, “We are absolutely delighted & very proud of our year 11 students who have worked with absolute commitment to secure a set of really positive results. Our students attending examinations this year have performed brilliantly and surpassed expectations. and there is lots to celebrate once again!

We know that students have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education across the last 2-3 years and within the context of tougher grade boundaries nationally, our Leeds West students have once again demonstrated that those who attend Leeds West do really, really well. I would like to take the opportunity to also thank our amazing staff team across the academy for the commitment and care they show every day to our student community and also to our parents who support our staff and students to help us continue to build an amazing school for our community.”

Emmi and Oliver both pictured above will be attending Horsforth Sixth Form from September.  Emmi was very excited to achieve three Grade 9s and Oliver was surprised and proud to achieve a Grade 8 in English Lit! Well done both. 

Well done Madison, Imogen and Kacey! Madison and Kacey will both go to Notre Dame in September and Imogen will be attending CAPA College; they are very excited and feeling very proud.
