Assistant Principal Positive Behaviour and Safety
Bethany Hall began working with young people in 2008, supporting a number of children across the city of Leeds. Bethany has experience in neighbouring schools, she started working in Early Years specialising in Child Protection and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). In 2016 Bethany began working in secondary education and secured the position of pastoral lead working with Post 16.
In 2018 Bethany came to Leeds West Academy as a Behaviour and Attendance leader in KS4. Following on from this Bethany was placed in the role of Acting Associate Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Attitudes. As an ex-pupil, Bethany has close links to the local community and has a passion to improve aspirations of the children in this area to ensure that all students are able to have the best options and choices for the future. Bethany is also Leeds West Academy’s designated Safeguarding Lead, she has years of experience and knowledge working to safeguard young people and ensuring all students are safe and well. This is also reflected in Bethany’s work in many Local Authority Audits of Safeguarding and work towards Ofsted Inspections.
Bethany has since secured the permanent position of Assistant Principal in 2020 and is committed to ensuring that an exceptional ethos is promoted through behaviour and attitudes by fostering strong and effective relationships with staff, students and parents. She strongly believes that reward, praise and recognition is important in making students take responsibility for their choices and self-regulate their behaviour to achieve positive outcomes.
Bethany enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and traveling to various locations around the world to gain experience of different cultures and traditions.
