Trinity Kitchen Challenge
Leeds West Academy students have been tasked with creating a concept for a street food stand at Trinity Kitchen, with an allocated budget of £20,000. Groups of six will invent three different plates for a menu, before competing against other Leeds schools.
The Trinity Kitchen Challenge commenced with a launch event at Leeds West Academy. Staff working in various areas at Trinity Leeds informed the students about the products sold at Trinity Kitchen, providing guidance and inspiration ahead of the competition.
Students are now working in teams to develop a product and business case. These will be presented and pitched at an in-school event for teachers who will select a winning team, qualifying for the finale in March. At the challenge finale the school’s chosen team will present their contending menu against four other teams.
