Starlight Cheerleaders - Day of Dance
The LWA Starlight Cheerleading squad visited Aspire Disability Centre to take part in the 'Day of Dance', from Belly Dancing to Disco and Jive to Cheerleading the residents and visitors took part in workshops throughout the day.
Our girls performed and led workshops in tumble, dance, stunt and jumps receiving a very warm welcome from staff and local visitors to the Centre.
Everyone involved was impeccably behaved and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our Starlight Cheerleaders are great ambassadors to the academy and make me burst with pride when working with them as they are true professionals and wonderful young people.

'I really enjoy going to Aspire because I love seeing the smiles on everyone's faces and the joy it brings to the everyone. It also makes me so happy seeing them enjoy themselves and just let go. My favourite part is when we all dance together as it makes me happy that they have had a day to remember'.
Isabel - Year 9 student
'I really enjoy going to the Aspire event as it brings me out of my comfort zone but I actually really enjoyed it. My favourite part of the day was when we did disco dancing and everyone joins in with the conga line and dances together.'
