Nurture Students Celebrate Course Success
It’s been a busy few weeks for Leeds West Academy Nurture students. They have just completed a successful 12-week course in nurture and raised money for two worthy causes.
As part of their Empathy for Others work, the students decided to run their own festive stall, selling reindeer food and other gifts, in the run up to Christmas. They raised £120 and decided to split the money between two Charities: Breast Cancer Care and St George’s Crypt.
A few weeks ago, Ms Copperwheat from St George’s Crypt came in for an information sharing session with the students and collected her cheque at the same time. They also presented Miss Exley with a cheque for Breast Cancer Care.
To celebrate their success, the students have recently taken part in a mini graduation and received a well-deserved certificate.
Mrs Preston said: “I am extremely proud of our Nurture students who have raised money for these two very worthy causes.
The students have shown phenomenal the effort, concentration and commitment.”
