IGD Careers Workshop
On Monday 3rd June, thirty students from Year 9 Citizenship participated in a Careers Workshop with IGD entitled ‘Feeding Britain’s Future’.
We were very pleased to welcome professionals from the food and grocery industry into the Academy. They were able to spend a morning with our students, looking at employability, interview and transferable skills.
Lily and Maisie said; “It helped us to become more confident. All the staff had a positive attitude, which helped us to feel more engaged. They let us know how to improve and their speeches were very motivating, which also boosted our confidence. This made us realise how important school is.”
Adam said; “It helped me discover what skills I have and what skills I still need to develop.”
We would like to thank IGD for spending time with our students and leaving them feeling inspired and confident.
