Edtech 50 Schools
On May 8th 2019, Danny Bullock (Assistant Principal) and Donna Hobson (Assistant SENDCO and Staff Governor) had the privilege of being invited to the House of Lords as part of the EdTech50 schools launch.
The Edtech 50 Schools is a celebration of the work going on in schools across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, that use education technology to support great teaching and enhance learning. The Edtech 50 Schools has been chosen from nomination and the insight a national judging panel.
“The Edtech 50 Schools has been chosen from nomination and the insight of our judging panel. We asked schools to demonstrate a range of work using education technology, strategic focus and an ability to articulate impact in ways they thought important as educators.
"It was challenging to award the Edtech 50 Schools and this publication also contains ‘ones to note’ and ‘ones to watch’ – schools that are using education technology in imaginative and innovative ways.”
We are very proud to share that our work on our inclusion system (The ANT System) at Leeds West has been included in this list of the top 50 schools in the country using technology to support students and Teaching & Learning. Introducing this system into the Academy has centralised, streamlined and improved understanding of students’ current behaviour, attendance and academic and pastoral needs for staff at all levels. It has allowed a real collegiate approach to working with students; one where the goal is that no student falls through the cracks.
